Just a reminder that the Grassroots Arts Program (GAP) free grant writing workshops begin tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 8^th and run through next Tuesday. (See schedule below.) Please let me know ASAP whether you will attend, and please forward this info to any other arts organizations you think would be interested.

GAP grants are up to $2,000 per project for NEW and EMERGING arts projects and arts organizations. They can be used to expand existing projects – i.e. add a music festival to an existing art event; start a new community theatre group; etc. The goal is to spend every penny of the more than $47,000 the GA General Assembly and Georgia Council for the Arts has designated for the 13 Central Georgia counties that Macon Arts serves through this grant to produce new arts that every community can enjoy and that can bring in additional revenue to each county.

The grant deadline is Oct. 31, 2008 and covers projects produced in FY09 (July 1, 2008 – June 30, 2009).
